By far our most popular size of instrument, this is our mid size jumbo, somewhere between an OM and a large Jumbo like the J200. Although smaller than a large Jumbo its volume sustain and balance is remarkable. This size seems to focus the sound like no other guitar, giving it a clarity that is now legendary. A very comfortable guitar to play and suited to most styles of playing.
McIlroy guitars are one of the World's finest handmade acoustic guitars. Made in the factory workshop in Antrim, N. Ireland since 2000, they are now played around the globe by some of the World's finest guitarists.
Very few guitars off the balance of bass, mid and treble. Some would even say it's impossible.
Dermot McIlroy has managed to create this balance. So, you get warmth in the bass without the muddy tones, clear treble tones without the twang and a cutty ,mid range that eliminates the boxy tones that many other guitars produce.
