Fender Stratocaster USA 1979 - Used
Fender Stratocaster Re-finished in White with Maple neck.
Made in 1979.
A nice example in excellent condition. We have given the guitar an intense clean and fret dress and it plays really nicely, currently set-up with 9-42 gauge strings. The pick-ups sound like a typical Strat should with a hint of 'vintage' to them as you'd expect. The re-finish was done professionally many years ago.
The pick-ups, switch, pots are all original and function as they should. The pickguard, although an old original Fender one, is not original to this guitar and we believe the machine heads have been changed to the current ones which are Fender original '70s style.
The finish on the back of the neck and the fingerboard is fine and the neck profile is fairly thin.
The weight is 4.79kg; quite heavy but not unusual for a late '70s Strat.
The case is an original Fender one but not the original case for this guitar; we believe it's a slightly later '80s case.
A great Strat and a great investment opportunity.
